Messing about...

...on the river estuary!

Well, fishing mostly.

Lots of people were tootling about and fishing and it was a lovely day. Not as sunny as it has been but still very pleasant.

Knott End-on-Sea is situated on the southern side of Morecambe Bay, across the Wyre estuary from Fleetwood.

Earlier I'd had my lunch overlooking the river Wyre, watching two herons doing a spot of fishing too. One remained in the same spot the whole time, barely moving, whilst the other couldn't make up his mind, moving at least four times whilst I sat and watched him.

No impatient or bored offspring with me today as he had gone over to Lightwater Valley amusement park in Yorkshire with some friends, which is infinitely better than walking around boring and dull places like this with Mum and Dad, isn't it?!?
