Walking to lunch

We are meeting friends for lunch today who have come over from Padova. It is a local restaurant, but the first part of the walk there is all uphill, and the latter part of the walk all downhill. It will be the reverse on the way back after lunch. It is a pity there is no road across from the apartment to the restaurant as both are about the same elevation from the lakeside.

In the centre of this photograph there is the Abbey of Aquafredda. I have walked up to it on one occasion
