Protecting the others
A quiet day. Took the young fellas in to the central city to see a movie and have lunch; just the two of them. They made their way back west on the train. Young L went to Swanson, the best station for him, while I collected Z who got off the train at Glen Eden.
After getting him back to the A-Frame, I went for a brisk walk along the top of the pipeline. I was nearly back when i saw an adult male Eurasian Blackbird and two others; one a female, the other an immature.
Since it was introduced in the late 19th century this bird has become the most widespread throughout Aotearoa/NZ. It has the same name in Te Reo Maori; Manu pango,
