Summer in the City

Another wonderful day on our mini break.

Last night's play (The Cripple of Inishmaan) with Daniel Radcliffe in the title role was brilliant. Cruel, enigmatic, at times like a satirical Mrs Brown's Boys, but it has certainly easily established Harry Potter as a great actor of the future.

We found a great value deal for a Japanese Restaurant in Mayfair and we went on after the show. Deliciously tasty, stylish and different. The staff were helpful and explained what we were eating. Sake No Hana - not far from The Ritz.

Today we explored in Kensington (Whole Foods) and then went on to the British Museum for the Life and Death in Pompeii and Herculaneum exhibition. We've waited ages for this and it was so well worth it.

Tas, gorgeous Turkish restaurant just nearby, was the perfect place to relax with delicious food and a well chilled Rioja (Viura grape). Interesting discussions about the Turkish situation with the young enthusiastic staff as we cooled off ready to rest before seeing Renee Fleming at Covent Garden tonight.

I hope you're all enjoying this fabulous July, blippers. Cheers !
