The Early Bird

Went out for a walk this morning to get the Sunday paper, and saw this birdie in the park on my way back. I couldn't believe my luck that he didn't fly away while i got my camera out of my bag. If anyone wants to earn 5* on their blip today could they identify this bird? You will be duly rewarded. Is it a thrush?
The weather is cooler today but still lovely. Where has the weekend gone?
Our meal for tonight is paprika beef, which is slow cooked and served in a smoky tomato and paprika sauce with sweet potatoes and spicy wedges. Dessert is Morello cherry pie washed down with a Spanish red.
