Wellingborough train station

Over 500 houses have been built close to this station over the last four years. The journey time to London is just an hour. So, this town is  very attractive for commuters. 

In spite of two additional platforms and lifts at every platform to accomodate the new residents, the outside of the station just looks the same as when I first visited this station 25 years ago. 

The blue plaque within the collage gives details of this 1857 Grade II listed station.
