Blue sky start
It's been a sunny day. Put washing out but sadly drying has to be completed indoors near the dehumidifier. The days of drying completely outside are numbered until spring.
Chopped some of those bramble spears that threaten to take an eye out. They grow back so fast.
Lovely sunny afternoon walk. Warm enough to be sleeveless. Extra: Clouds were rolling in after this morning's clear start.
Late afternoon Kyro has managed to hurt my knee by lunging on the lead at a bloomomg uncatchable tree rodent. He suddenly and forcefully pulled behind me on the lead causing my knee to suddenly twist.
The knee is a bit achey and gets stiff when I'm immobile. I can walk with a brief hobble after sitting until it loosens up. Hopefully it will be all right tomorrow. The hound got a right telling off and I believe knows that he's done wrong.
A fellow dog walker broke her knee ligament when her husky suddenly bolted. The retractable lead snapped and instantly and with momentum catapulted her backwards resulting in the ligament breaking. She described how she saw her leg at an unnatural angle as she was on the ground. Her recovery took several months when she had to use a mobility scooter and take warfarin to prevent blood clots.
We were advised when adopting our first greyhound never to use a retractable lead. Advice I've followed to the letter.
Lazy dinner of baked potatoes. Mr like his with baked beans and grated cheese. I have chopped tomatoes and parsley with a tahini, lemon juice and olive oil dressing.
The world is in a parlous state.
Stay safe everyone.
