Pastures New

Chris had got the week off so we decided to try out a golf course we haven’t played before, Orchardleigh in Frome which is just up the road from where my sister lives.

Here’s Chris posing on the first tee, with the wide fairway stretching behind him. We both played pretty well though, having said what a pleasantly flat course it was on the front 9, we arrived at the 10th to discover the fairway plummeting downhill to the green and the 11th climbing back up again, a pattern that repeated itself over the next few holes. By the time we staggered on to the summit of the 16th, we needed gas and air!
