Acorns

I took this photo about a month ago with the intention of painting it. I finally got around to it this week. It is very tiny (A5 watercolour paper), very detailed and therefore it was quite a challenge. My polychromos coloured pencils were the only thing up to the job in my opinion. 

Now we are well into autumn, I want to paint some lovely red and orange leaves. I have already got my composition prepared and photographed so watch this space!
