Down and Up
Callum went to Beamish, The Living Museum of the North today on a coach trip. So he left at 9 am and got back about 6.15pm. So I’ve had the day to myself!
Did a few house chores first thing then took the hounds on an adventure. We went along to the cliff lift and had our first trip ‘down’ - £1.80.
Then we had a walk out under the pier to the waters edge, the tide was out so almost got the blip I wanted standing at the end looking back, but although I’d got waterproof shoes on I would have been up to my ankles as it wasn’t ‘out’ quite far enough.
So we had a good walk along the shore, then back up onto the prom and along a bit and back ‘up’ in the lift. £1.60
So in terms of cost, it is pretty much the same as taking the car and parking for an hour. But they do have season tickets, so will see if that might be worth it.
Back home and some more bits and pieces, researched some online stuff and then after a round the block afternoon dog walk, settled down to a very good video chat with Nicoiseannie. Caught up on everything and we’ll speak again when she is back home next week.
My blip is from inside the cliff lift on the way down. Not having been on it before, I’m not sure if the actual cars had an overhaul whilst it was shut, but they look in pretty good condition. A lovely sunny autumn day.
