Out & About

Busy day. I started with some admin then walked down to town for a meeting about the fundraising committee and meeting a potential new member. We had a good chat and all went smoothly, then I walked over to the Traverse via TKMaxx where I bought two new frying pans…I’d been looking for these hexagon ones for a while. As I went through Princes St gardens the sun was just breaking through and I enjoyed seeing the castle views, bandstand and fountain with the surrounding trees in their autumn colours.
I was happy to get my pie and pint before going into the play about the women in Rabbie Burns’ life. It was lovely….some very well sung songs, humour and a very well performed charming story about being made by the women around you
From there I picked up some flowers then headed down to CMcL’s house to see her post-op. She was on good form, and after giving me a tour of the recently remodelled house (gorgeous!) we chatted on about Boards, the state of the world, Ozempic, carpentry, art and etc. I like her, despite our very different circumstances.
Walked home, feeling introspective in the way I have the last few days. It was a lovely sunny late afternoon…
