#pizzathursday and dumbing down
Weekly shopping at Lidl again this morning. With the usual pizza for the kids. In fact me and my daughter are recovering from a dose of Norovirus, so pizza probably isn't the best thing. It'll keep.
Yesterday I decided to dumb down my social media involvement, by having a cull on X, Threads & Flickr. I was following too many people and I had a lot of irrelevant accounts following me. Added to which I was getting a lot of bots, especially on X. So I've decided to lock all of my accounts, including here on Blipfoto. There is no danger of Blip running away by itself, but there is with the others. I'd rather decide who follows.
ATM I tend to do the TL scrolling twice a week. Previous it was every day, several times a day. Actually having people who I want to follow, rather than doing the numbers game, it quite liberating. I had so many political and dodgy posts to wade through.
Back to the supermarket this morning, I just happened to bump into my SIL in the car park as she was coming of Lidl and I was taking a shopping trolley. Before the Summer break, she had a car accident in her daughters car. Basically drink driving (this is another reason why I'm locking my accounts, because I'll touch on some sensitive things). So, this morning, I was surprised to see her driving again. There was no sign of my BIL and their car was there empty, she he wasn't driving her. I could start getting all judgemental about this situation. I won't, but I will say that I really don't understand it. She was very lucky she didn't crash into someone else, so I'm rather scared for her.
