Dodgging the showers I kept Rebecca company as she planted out the Rudbeckia plant recently purchased from a local garden centre.
Alll that remained was I too take it's picture.
Following much deliberation I found a composition I was happy with and with vintage fifty attached I set about my task.
You see, the magic behind planting out mature plants is "position". Because I am in a chair the plant must go somewhere along the wheelchair path, so that i might take its picture. in this case along side a stairwall, along side of which are disabled rails that I can pull myself up in order to lean on and over the stairwall, now looking directly down on the newly planted Rudbeckia.
At this point I say, with some surprise, how is it that our Rudbeckia plants had finished flowering, died back, been dug up, split, been repositioned and then. cut back, weeks ago? and these garden centre ones are still in flower!
