This Weather!

Is beyond stunning! My very favorite time of year here in western Oregon. Crystal blue skies, cool mornings, warm afternoons (sorry I might have said that yesterday too) - I can't get enough of it! But we need to soak it all up before the winter rains set in. Oddly, we'll have a wet day on Friday, but that's good for the plants.

I went to my favorite nursery again this afternoon, planning to get a present for a friend, which I did. But I walked around and looked at plants, and I bought a cool pumpkin too. This kale was glowing in the afternoon sun...pretty stupendous color. As I was leaving I saw a plant (a big plant) that I wanted, but my hands were full so I'll have to go back in the morning. Too bad ;-)
