Temaki birthday

After a sunny morning pottering and opening my presents, we went out to a Japanese/ Asian inspired restaurant for lunch.

The dishes were served tapas style for sharing and were a delicious combination of flavours. The main picture is of the trout temaki dish but we also had crab in butter, tuna flake pancakes ( they had a special name,) buttered fried chicken, and answer cheese and mushroom croquettes. Not to mention monkfish and pork belly - or dessert.

Each dish was different and very tasty. A great experience.

Home to lots of messages; video chats with family; then a home made carrot cake to round off the day along with a film then the latest episode of Ludwig. A good day and I only feel a day older!
