Charlie
A very lovely emergency blip! I invited Pauline for scrabble and dinner before the church prayer meeting starting at five but suddenly realised that I had booked to see a film at the art cinema. It was Lee, the true story of an American war journalist and photographer and it was harrowing to say the least but also superbly acted and gave a very real flavour of whatvlife was like before the war, during the war and at the revelations of the deportations and deaths in the concentration camps!
A difficult watch then a quick trip back to the catsit to finish the meal, Italian pie! Not shepherd pie or cottage pie but bolognaise pie! It was very tasty but the potatoes were a bit watery on the top! Needed a floury potato. Whilst Pauline was here I had to banish Charlie from the main room as she is allergic to cats and he was determined to greet her and sit on her!
The church prayer meeting was well attended and we were given news of the alliance , a new group of evangelical and biblically minded vicars who wish to stay true to the Word Of God in the bible. About 2000 vicars have signed up for it which is somewhat of a miracle in itself! About 45% of all clergy in the C of E! We are blessed at St Andrews that we have a vibrant and growing church with lots of children and teenagers.
