Something strange…

I took Bonnie up the garden this morning, and as we got back to the door I thought I saw something moving in the bowl of water by the tap. And yes, there were several things moving around! A palmate newt, a small frog, and some beetles.
The beetles perhaps flew in. The frog could have jumped, although it’s not a big one…
But the newt? I think they have sticky pads on their toes, but the bowl has an overhang.
Or maybe it’s a practical joke? Anyway, after showing Rob they were safely removed, little knowing that they might have been slurped down by a thirsty Labrador!
