Day 37 in England

Arts and crafts concentration face. I love Shan’s idea of arts and crafts. It usually consists of making something for ‘the whole family’ which usually means she shows it to me and daddy then we put it on the fridge.

Apparently she had a good day at school and was a super helper. She helped Phoebe walk on the wheels, which are sometimes wobbly, by holding her hand as she walked across. (Tyres on the floor to walk across). We have an update in her ‘best friends’ list now. Abigail has been knocked to second with Isla taking on first place. We only heard about Isla two days ago, so this must be a great blossoming friendship!

I did some marking and daddy did some cooking whilst she was doing arts and crafts and singing. She’s discovered one of Archie’s new favourite songs and has been asking Alexa to play it all day. Alexa struggles to understand her attempt of ‘A bar song by Shabooezy’ but we get there in the end. After that played she asked if Alexa can play one of my favourite songs, “the dolly one”. 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton is what she means! We sang that, then Archie and I performed a beautiful duet of Islands in the Stream. She was standing on her chair, eating her corn and dancing along.

Hot chocolate with marshmallows for dessert whilst watching the Wiggles. Bedtime stories today: The Gruffalo and I Love you Daddy. We’re all creatures of habit!
