I took myself off to the emergency ward last evening and came home with a new prescription for my cranky foot. Thankfully, the event only took 3 hours so I was home in time for bed. 

This morning my brother and I sat drinking coffee while waiting for the furnace man to arrive for the annual checkup. When we'd passed this hurdle, we were off on errands. We picked up some breakfast and more coffee before we drove up the hill to Paul Lake. 

Unlike yesterday, we've been treated to a beautiful sunny day. The lake look fabulous and I spent some time looking around it with my camera. 

I found a Scotch thistle and some rosehips beside the lake. I caught a damsel fly on a rock and a dragonfly on a fence post. Someone had lost a pair of reading glasses near the trail so they were propped up on the fence. 

My last shot is a lovely pinto looking very fat and sassy. It gave me a very beautiful portrait to end the morning. 

We said our farewells to a friend when we returned home. Now it's feet up with my daughter's delicious cinnamon buns. My day is complete.
