Predawn Stromness

The predawn sky was so amazing that I was outside in my nightie and Dry Robe taking photos because there is a pesky phone wire that crosses the view from my bedroom window.

We swam at 9am in calm water and I made it to the grey buoy and back which is slightly better than usual but not nearly as good as the younger Selkies.

With Julia’s Cafe shut again, I had coffee outside on the deck of the Pier Cafe at the harbour watching the huge lorries roll off the ferry from Scrabster.

The Indian Summer continues. I am sitting in the garden in the sunshine without a jacket watching a localised haar coming and going over Orphir on the other side of Hamnavoe.
