Not a church bell, but the Blackheath fire bell, today outside the RFS centre in Station Street, possibly placed there in the 70's but in existence since the 50's. You could say it's seen many 'saints' in the folk who've served in the Fire Brigades right up to the present; fires in B'hth's history are well covered in the book, 'Blackheath, Today From Yesterday, published by the Rotary Club in 2005 (when MrJ was president, as it happens).
