Dunbeath harbour
We stayed at Dornoch last night. Lottie loves it there. There are lots of little pathways amongst the sand dunes to hurtle along - without a lead! Not often she gets the chance, as at home there are too many cliffs and sheep to risk it.
Today we drove the rest of the way to the north coast, for the ferry from Gills Bay. Our lunchtime stop was at Dunbeath Harbour, where we've never actually been to before. It was lovely and peaceful and there was a Tasty Toes food shack. Partan (crab) toes! Lucky Mike! He has to pass on the opportunity for shellfish quite often because of my allergy but we are outside, and everything was disposable so it was perfect. He enjoyed himself and I had a salted caramel ice cream! Both of us happy and healthy!
Home on the evening boat, after a run round the supermarket and a filling up with diesel. Can't believe we have been away nearly a month. If it weren't for upcoming medical appointments and visitors, who knows how much longer we could have carried on for!
