Rapaki Track at Dusk

Winding shingle road up the Port Hills in Christchurch. Fabulous views of the mountains across the plain and the sea out to the west, then the reward of the Lyttelton Harbour when you reach the top. Coming down in the dark we saw the city lights come on and it was a magic couple of hours out of life in the city. 13 year old son not so impressed "its boring, its stupid walking up a hill, its hot, its cold, im hungry...still he was grinning when we got in the car to go home. Be interesting to see if he will come next time.
