Virginia Creeper
This is the only photo I took today, on the footpath round to Christine’s for house group. Luckily it stayed dry long enough for me to get home again a little later. The skies have poured water down on us all afternoon, though. I’ve called my sister, who’s been very unwell with a mystery virus, and read my Tiptree book club novel (which was the one I recommended, so I can’t *not* read it!).
The turning of the Virginia Creeper is a sure sign that we are now well and truly into autumn. It’s a season I love because of Nature’s spectacular colours, but I truly dread the winter that follows on its heels.
