Stanley Park

Our final full day in Canada and we decided to do what Vancouverites do on a public holiday and head down to Stanley Park. Today ( 30th September)is National Day of Truth and Reconciliation “to honour the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.”
We added another two modes of transport to our list, getting down there on trolley bus and then hiring bikes for about 3 hours. The mostly flat 10km sea wall loop goes counterclockwise so is safe and easy apart from the crazy guys on electric scooters and goes 360 round the park with great views of the city and out.
Then we walked back from the park via the main streets which were buzzing due to the PH. Lunch was at Tim Hortons, emblematic of Canada, and then a stroll back to the hotel where we’re chilling.
Tomorrow we’re having lunch in the revolving restaurant then off to the airport :((
