Village hall...

in the rain. It was lunch club today and I went down early to help set the tables etc. Unfortunately I forgot my keys and had to wait outside. I couldn't face the walk back up the hill, in the rain, so I waited under the tree opposite the hall. Jeff and Pauline soon arrived as I thought they probably would. I had hoped to get in before them as Pauline has had a really bad back and I didn't want her doing anything. I let her turn on the ovens and put out the salt and pepper pots!
We had a good lunch, leek and potato pie, lots of veg followed by apple crumble and custard. Lots of socialising of a cuppa to finish off.
Eating a meal at lunchtime makes me very lazy in an afternoon! I just wrote a few emails on mum's behalf, concerns and complaints that were necessary,  but I don't enjoy,  at least they are done.
A quiet evening with some baby knitting, which I did enjoy.
