Imposter

This apparently is a robin - I don't doubt that the Americans do some things really well (beaches, BBQ food, ice cream, shops to name a few) but come on, in whose world is this a robin? As if this would look good on a Christmas card. (I know this picture isn't that good but they're wiley little buggers who fly off when you get close)

Went to another beach today with the fella - was full of young American types drinking beer, playing games (mainly beer related - 'beer in your face', 'knock the beer can off a pole with a frisbee' to name two we saw /heard) and generally enjoying themselves. Felt like an imposter at first but then decided to go with it and enjoy the people watching. Really enjoyed ourselves - helped by leaping around in the waves again. Actually there was much leaping as the waves were v strong so more trying not to fall over.

Good last day here and will be sad to leave. But still have a few days in NYC to look forward to.
