Wee Dinosaur!
I had the pleasure of meeting this wee Dinosaur today with his Mum (Mumof4Wildlings) what a character he is - not shy at all. I got big hugs and he asked if he could come home with me!
We had about an hour together then Nadine and Carson had to go and I was going to meet another friend Liz.
I arrived at The Stove cafe 20 mins before Liz arrived and saw our previous friend and neighbour, Steve sitting there with a coffee. He was so surprised to see me and we hugged and we laughed, a few minutes later his wife Pat came out of the loo. More hugs. We had meant to visit them while we were in Moniaive but they were away until yesterday.
After 15 minutes they had to leave and my friend Liz arrived.
We worked together as nurses on the day surgery ward in Dumfries Infirmary more than 15 years ago. We loved our work and had fun with each other and with the patients whilst at the same time working hard and caring for their every need. Liz is a few years older than me and is looking after her terminally ill husband and she is not well herself either. I feel so sad for her.
At 2.30 pm I met Frank by the river and we drove home.
What a sociable weekend I’ve had.
We’ve been watching Panorama - first of all about NHS prescriped HRT, also herbal supplements and HRT prescribed by a private clinic.
It was shocking to hear reports from women who had been prescribed HRT at dangerously high doses. A menopause Dr I used to work with was also on the programme and she prescribed HRT for me years ago and I’ve never looked back. She also started a magazine which is now on line called Menopause Matters. She is an excellent Dr.
The next Panorama we watched was about the cost of HS2 to the tax payer. Billions! Not to mention the cost to nature when they dug up areas of natural beauty. It is not finished and we don’t know if it ever will be and all to save 20 minutes on a journey from London to Leeds and Manchester.
I am really tired now and will have an early night.
Goodnight Blippers and thank you for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts over the weekend. I had no phone signal in Moniaive and very poor Wifi.
:-) X
PS That beautiful wee ginger kitten knocked over a big plant in a pot last night which in turn sent a massive mirror to the floor in Anna’s bedroom, smashing it to smithereens! Nobody was hurt. :-0
