A walk in the Pentland hills
After an excellent breakfast of kippers, X had work to do and so R and I went out for a couple of hours' walk in the Pentland hills. Gentle wooded pathways, reservoirs and a tiny cafe for a treat en route. And a lovely mild, dry day.
Most of my intentional camera movement experiments go straight into the bin. Usually there's some jagged streak of light somewhere that gets in the way (I need to get better at composition). I quite like this one, although I've had to crop it to remove some streaky bits.
In the extra, an image that captures something about R and X's house for me. The spare bedroom has some ceramic pieces in it made by R's mother. I liked the way that the light caught the figure, and some of the leaves in the triffid-like houseplants around its base. It's an enormous Victorian house that could easily accommodate a wardrobe with access to Narnia.
