Heading out of Manchester

What a great day ... after various chores we all went to see a brilliant performance at The Royal Exchange in Manchester this afternoon.

Then there was the summer hat buying session (for me). It was almost the last one in the store and was starting to be encroached upon by winter woollies. But it is still baking hot! My fourteen year old - but not for very much longer - pointed out that this is the nature of the fashion industry ... to sell us stuff we are not yet ready to wear! She is right, of course.

So this is Katy heading for the car after snapping all sorts of urban images ... dare I say urban decay? You never know, one such photo may turn up as her blip. It has been a lovely day. Here's to tomorrow.
