Clematis heracleifolia

This little clematis has been in my border for some years, but it hasn’t realised flowered before as it was lost under a bush! I moved it a couple of years ago and it seems happier. I have just looked up about it, and it should possibly be scented, so I will go and have a sniff tomorrow. It’s quite unusual for a clematis as it doesn’t climb, but is more like a short shrub, although it dies right down over winter. There is another small one which I will move to join this one, and maybe I will get a clump!
