Nice, nice, very nice

After the second unpleasant night in a week, possibly caused by changes in my sleep pattern or location, I was too tired this morning to do very much other than mess around on the computer, tidying up my GPS recordings from Holz.  It's hard to believe a week ago already I was all packed and ready to go the next morning.

The afternoon was spent slightly more productively, testing a little device BikerBabe gave me.  Our Cardo intercoms are amazing things for direct chatting, and they can connect to both your phone and your GPS.  That means I can make phone calls (if a bit fumbly), listen to music (allegedly; I have never got mine to work reliably), and activate Siri, Hey Google, or whatever magic voice assistant you have on your phone.  But what they can't do is be a walkie talkie, if you want the intercom function with someone who doesn't happen to have a Cardo paired with your own.  BB discovered a way to do this using an app on the phone, activated by a Bluetooth press button.  I spent hours trying to get it to work, ending up with a bit of a convoluted solution because my phone wouldn't play ball while my GPS did.  So the next step is to get Mum and Dad set up with the app to try it out.

Tea today was Friday's intended tea but I hadn't the appetite then.  It was Thai red chicken curry and while I am mostly veg, I have to say it was very lovely.
