Dry and windy turning to very wet and windy

Yellow weather warning for wind and rain.
First walk of the day was great, it was windy but not raining. The rain started about lunchtime. We were booked in for scent detection and gundog training this afternoon, I checked Facebook before leaving but no cancellation notification. Poor Keely had to be cajoled off the sofa and would only go outside in the downpour when she had a coat on.
We were almost at the training centre when my phone pinged. Training had been cancelled due to 50mph winds and flood like rain.
I made my way home, but decided since I was dressed for the weather we might as well walk in the woods. Dina was obviously keen, practicing her gundog carrying a log for most of the walk. Keely was not so happy, it was torrential rain. After a dunk in the river for Dina, it was home, drying off, supper and cuddle up on the sofa
