Head in the clouds

We've had a super day up at the Gliding Club.  The Westerly wind helped the hang gliders enjoy spectacular lift from the hills and the gliders too.
 
Whilst Mr HB enjoyed catching up with old friends and endless cups of tea in the Clubhouse, I retired to our bunk room and read my book – ‘The Ship of Brides’ by JoJo Moyes, which I'm really enjoying.
 
Later it was time to get changed into our glad rags and join the 90, yes 90 guests here to party and to celebrate the retirement of Senior Gliding Instructor, Dave, who has put in many, many hours of instructing young, and not so young, to learn and enjoy the wonderful sport of sailplane gliding, or to continue to do exciting things in aviation.
 
Dave's Partner  Helen, and helpers produced a fantastic meal, the band were loud  and fabulous, we danced and partied on until 1am, others until much later!
 
Not sure how we’ll be feeling tomorrow ……?
