Another Fungus

Once again it involved kneeling on the ground…not in a hedge this time and there was no one about :-)

Interestingly (for me) this was growing in a location that I have found similar ones growing before…but the woodland has since been cleared and ploughed over (due to ash dieback) and the pile of logs it was growing on was removed with the clearance.

That was a couple of years ago (at least) so I wonder if some spores survived and have now grown.

This is a four shot focus stack…at the left of the cap in the centre front there is what appears to be two little bugs…it is in fact one bug that moved between two shots and got included twice in the final image :-)
