twinned with trumpton

By MrFT

With a dog to walk, and the sun shining, I eskewed overtime and headed out with hound and camera.

Down to Leith, around Asda on towards to OT and the Shore; Aldi, Kirkgate and looped back thru Jane St and back homewards.

In for the boys coming home from school; katsu chicken for lunch from across the road before despatching Tom to his JLP interview at Leith St.

Alex and I front loaded the sleep for the weekend; before a late afternoon dog walk; and dinner.

To Scottish Cup round 1. We all took a bus to town; I repatriated Loki much to his delight and then cycled along the canal to Meggetland ot meet the boys for Tynecastle v Hill o Beath Hawthorn.

Alex and I had seen this exact fixture 2 years ago and HoB ran out 6-1 winners; although 10-1 would have been fair.

As it turned out, this was a tighter affair; HoB were 2-0 up shortly after half time; Tynie pegged them back; HOB again stretched their lead to 3-1 before Tynie ensured the proverbial "grandstand finish" with their second with 7 minutes left. In truth HoB looked comfortable throughout; like the Brazil of the 70s and 80s, they looked as if they would always manage to score one more goal than you.

The lads took the bus home; I biked and was in 24 minutes later.

An unusual take on the Banana Flats
