Going to Seed

After yesterday's wind & rain, today turned out to be a sunny, have-to-go-out-for-a-walk sort of day, so we went across to the forest and heath at West Harling as we knew the tracks would be suitable for the healing paw. There were plenty of seed heads alongside the forest tracks - viper's bugloss and wild carrot in abundance, and these Carline thistles in the grass on the heath. The latter's a fenced-off area within the forest - the trees were felled some time ago and it's in the process of reverting to Breckland heathland.
