Our son Alan is 40 years old this weekend.

As he and his wife and family of 4 children do not post photos to Social Media, I asked him if we could have a photo together, to put on my Blip Photo journal.
This makes this one very special.
We shared a few precious moments together in the kitchen just acknowledging that there is always one person missing at milestone family events.
Matt would’ve made a great uncle.
Good to meet some of their friends old and new today.
Tomorrow, his actual birthday, will just be the family.
Our eldest granddaughter has made the cake, which is a secret! But I’ve asked her to send a photo.
Now we are back home again.
It has been a lovely sunny day up to 14:30 when it clouded over, but all the towels were washed early and hung out before we went out.
The first lot are already dry.
The second lot were hung out when we got home.
Not sure if they’ll dry just hanging there limply! But “it will knock the wet out” my mum used to say!
Since we arrived home I’ve managed to plant a few alliums and hope to plant the rest tomorrow, replacing those that I lost over the winter.
Then there are some narcissus and tulips.
Trying to get jobs done before I go into hospital in November. We go to Cornwall in a couple of weeks just before I get my hip done.
