This morning’s dramatic clouds cleared to blue sky and hot sunshine this afternoon.


This collection of rocks, and the walk, were a favourite place to visit when the grandchildren were visiting from Wellington.
During the summer months we visited when the tide was in and the water was deep enough for them to swim. If it was later in the day and the water was creeping over the sunbaked sand it felt like warm bath water.
During the cooler months a picnic and rock climbing were still enjoyed.
Now when they visit we walk further along the coast, either on the walking track or the beach, where the water is much deeper.

Today, there were just the two of us enjoying this little piece of paradise!
