Grey heron

Only two heron today! The little female (pictured) flew down from the roof and was joined by the original young one. The took off after an initial feed ad flew to the loch. I made my way round the path. When I reached the first clearing I heard a heron call as the original young one flew in. I was feeding her when I heard another call and knew that would be the little female letting me know she had arrived. I made my way to her clearing and sure enough she was waiting on me. I always find it amazing that they communicate with me to let me know they are around.
