Nasturtium

Today's the day ........................ to linger

A lovely day today - but definitely a chill in the air despite the warm sunshine.  

These nasturtiums just carry on regardless, brightening up the borders with their comical little faces and lovely green leaves.  Normally by now the leaves would have been eaten by cabbage white caterpillars - but their pristine state is a sad reminder that there haven't been many butterflies of any variety around this summer.

I would willingly have sacrificed a few leaves for more butterflies ..............
