Spruce Up

After yesterday’s rain, today was bright and beautiful. A perfect day for the pruning and transplanting projects on our to-do list. The biggest job was pruning the group of lilac trees that grow outside our front door. They were looking tired and overgrown, but now they look brand new again. The past two winters have been hard on them, but we’re feeling optimistic they’ll have a better chance of surviving heavy wet or icy snow coming this year • A busy day, so I’m glad for the soup leftovers in our refrigerator :) • So sad to hear of Maggie Smith’s passing today.
