Half Empty Or Half Full?

I have been wanting to do this shot for a while. Not sure why.
I used a fair whack of flash to give it some depth and create a bit of contrast on the out of focus background objects. It worked, although the shot is still a bit flat I think.
1/13 sec (tripod mounted) f6.3, 100iso, 85mm lens, flash @ +1 stop bounced at a horizontal 45 degree angle off a white pillow.
