New Forest ponies

We are staying with our friends in Dorset.  A shocking trip down in the rain but once there great to be with our friends.  Today we went into the New Forest, a vast area of forest planted in 1079 in the time of William the Conqueror for use as a royal hunting ground.  Now, over 1,000 years later, it is a national park  and home to free ranging ponies.
The weather is really chilly although dry.
