Marsh Tit
More rain overnight and it was still drizzling this morning when I was in town and it's been very windy all day and cold. I did some tidying up inside this morning given the weather, and made some vegetable soup. This afternoon I continued replacing the edging in my side garden whilst listening to my audiobook. In error I filled two feeders with sunflower hearts when I first went out and then worked on the edging for the next hour and a quarter - I realised as I started packing away that all the birds must have been desperately watching for me to go away as they all piled in as I took stuff back to the garage! I was so please to see the Marsh Tit back again and managed to get a few photos, such a delightful little bird. Then I cleared up some of the leaves that had fallen.
I was so sad to hear of the death of Dame Maggie Smith, such a brilliant actor. Her performance in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie was so mesmerising and I loved her performance in The Lady in the Van. For my 40th birthday I took my three sisters and a couple of friends to London for tea at the Ritz and to see the play The Breath of Life with Dames Maggie Smith and Judi Dench playing the two roles. It was simply spellbinding and I felt so privileged to watch these two amazing actors on stage together at their very best. RIP.
