Mallards

 
The gardeners did not visit today due to the really bad weather. It was a sensible decision; they will fit me in again next week. 
 
Today’s picture is of two Mallards on our natural pond, which once again is overflowing. Several Mallards and one Moorhen, very quickly decided to investigate, so they were not far away, in the marsh, during the summer. The heron has not yet appeared.
 
The temperature at noon today was eleven degrees Celsius. Torrential rain overnight and for much of the day although the rain did stop occasionally
