Experiments with a Prism
Ingeborg set the theme of filters for today's Abstract Thursday Challenge. I rather like the effect of fractal prism filters, which can split an images into multiple facets, but the nearest I could get to one was a triangular glass column prism I was given as a "Secret Santa" gift many years ago.
Anyway, I dug it out to have a play.
I had a bit of fun in the garden creating rainbows across various flora and refracted images, but in the end settled on this one. It was virtually the first image I took when trying out the "filter" by dumping it down on a set of reference books sitting on my desk (Can you guess which? Look closely!)
Apart from a bit of cropping and usual RAW to JPG tweaks in Lightroom, this is straight out of camera.
