Another book

Our friend Martin is an art critic and author and what seems like once a year we gather to celebrate another book! This one is called How Painting Happens and is of course very beautifully illustrated. It’s published by Thames and Hudson and the launch is in the lovely bookshop of Hatchard’s in Piccadilly.  The art books are at the top on the 3rd floor where we gathered to hear Martin talk about it.  Beautiful building with, on this floor rows of beautiful books. 

I had a lunch at Shoreditch House with an old colleague who is now working for a company with a lot of money and a desire for some new content so it was an interesting conversation.  In my new office-less state I had to spend quite a lot of time in Leon nursing a cup of tea before meeting Vikram here 

He was very tired from his day so we had a few noodles early and wandered off home on a reasonable train.  I finished watching The Perfect Couple, a good train drama which was fairly preposterous in the final episode.
