Beach, Steam, Castle
Our last full day in Dorset, and another victory over the weather.
First we drove to South Beach and had a lovely walk along the sand. We had to shelter a couple of times from showers, but in between it was sunny and actually quite warm. I got lots of photos of the Old Harry Rocks from the beach, but they were just record shots really, so I've gone for the deck chairs in the first extra. The rocks are there, way off in the background.
Then on to Swanage where we had a mooch, some hot drinks and cake in a café overlooking the sea, before catching the steam train to Corfe Castle. The main blip has the train, with engine 563, and the castle in the one image. I'm sure the driver must get a crick in his neck, looking backwards over his shoulder all the time.
There was a downpour as we boarded the train but we arrived at the castle in bright sunshine (second extra). It was pretty blowy up top though. I couldn't resist the extra of the lady taking a selfie of her hair in the wind.
In other news I woke up at 6am this morning and couldn't get back to sleep, so I booked our Ocado Christmas delivery slot. Not long to go now then.
Home tomorrow, but via Southampton where are meeting some friends for lunch.

On Our Way Home
Hmm, torrential rain and floods sounds familiar.
Sadly we no longer have an NHS dentist.
