The wait and the departure

I happened to click the WWF site at the right hour to see a huge swarm of birds sitting in the water and obviously waiting for something to happen. The bay was crowded, there were loud cries, and I could not help thinking of how many young anxious, weak and tired individuals there were. I watched it, and waited - - - and all of a sudden they were all on their wings. And by now we know how hard it is to learn to fly, and how hard you have to work your wing muscles. Oh woe.
